Desi Galaxy in Iselin

As am a student, I always look for places to have food within a budget and Desi galaxy fits perfect in that spot. You might not find taste up to the mark but certainly with the prices associated with it, It is a place you want to checkout. Last night I was there and choose tandoori tangi along with dal Makhani and Naam. In a regular restaurant this might cost you $15-17 but out there in desi galaxy it was $8 and some change. Although it taste and presentation was not upto the mark but when its already 9:30 at night and you are Hungary like anything then indian food and in budget is something that can please you.

We wanted to eat kachori, ice gola dish and cup. I did not much kachori. It was not as expected. Kachori has chole inside it with mamara and chatni. I was to eat regular kachori but it was okay. I wanted to ice gola from long time and I has chance to eat here. Color taste was good but price was three dollar for small cup and 8 dollar for gola plate. Gola plate was almost same because it had same color. I wanted to taste creamy color but they did not have any creamy color. It was okay .

☠CONTAMINATED FOOD BE AWARE FOOD LOVERS 😲😲I have been there for couple of times. Desi galaxy is not the best place for Indian fast food as this place doesn't provide fresh food . This is 2nd time I got contaminated food. First time I had contaminated lamb kabab , it was smell so bad and if you ask for change then they will thake 15 to 20 min to reserve. Last time I had Chinese egg chowmein and they mixed contaminated boild egg in it and was for to go. I had serious stomach upset. ❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌My suggestion is plz avoid that foodstall and check food before togo from Desi galaxy and if you find anything wrong change it asap. I think they need proper food safety inspection.

It's like an Indian eat street with various cuisines under one roof. The "live Pani puri" is pretty famous here with 4 different Pani available.#LetsGuide

Very stale food. Avoid as breakfast/lunch option.I picked up samosa, dalwada and mix bhel to go and it was the worst food I ever have.

Good place to have super Indian food from different regions of India. Also the drinks and pan counters are good.

Lot of options but no quality. It attracts you with the range of options it offers , but the quality of taste , hygiene , cleanliness at this place is very bad. At some counters , you can see teenagers taking up your order who probably might not be trained to make quality food you would expect at a restaurant.

0 to 5 scale.. 0 being bad and 5 being very good2– cleanliness of facilities2– how food is prepared3– presentation2– customer service2– quality of the food  There's a lot of options on the menu but for the non veg qualities is very poor. Maybe because of the Corona virus but overall I'll give it a 2.5

Late night food option when everything else is closed near by. Food food at reasonable price.

Samosa and other chaats are good and reasonable priced. Fresh fruit juices are not good at all, paid $6 for sugar cane juice with lemon and ginger, guess what, lemon juice came from plastic container and not from fresh lemon.

Very tasty food and also a large variety of Indian Veg & Non veg dishes available here.

Good food and good quality with comparable price

Good if u want to have chaat but there Non veg food (chicken) is pathetic and yukky. Do not take chance, there are other good restaurants in Oak tree for Non veg. I ordered butter chicken platter and the gravy is so watery and no taste. Total waste of money. I literally garbage the whole food.. feeling sorry for the chicken.. bechare ki jaan bhi gayi aur hume majja bhi nahi aaya..

Short wait. But worth it. Good luck trying to find a place to sit during peak times.

It is a good place if you are looking for a quick bite, a lot of choices of food from different parts of India. There is a juice/ tea shop and also a paan shop here too. The prices are not too bad and food is ok too, though they have good tea. Parking can be an issue on weekends, with the parking just big enough for about 35 cars. The place is clean and has two restrooms.

This is a little gem of a stop, if you're looking for authentic Indian Street good. Reminiscent of my time in India, you can get great favorites like Pani Puri, Chaat, Tikka, Kachori, and more. Both veg and non Veg options. Wonderful sweets shop here as well. If you've never had Pani Puri, is a great experience. Buy your tickets at Bombay Spice and head over to Desi Wok at the back for a selection of different pani. Khata-Mitha is the traditional sweet and sour filling. Start there if you're new to this!

5 star place. Hands down. Phenomenal indian food, reasonable price. Try the goat curry with butter nun at only 7 bucks. Its heaven

Indian street food😍 Who hates it?? All types food ranging from north to south of India. Loved this place. And you have pan center next to it. Brilliant!!

Live pani puri was amazing with different flavors of pani. My favorite was phudina.

Best price, and soo much tastey Indian staple foods. Specially, Mouth watering Panipuri😋, vadapauv and Daal baati has become our favorite go-to items. Taste is very authentic. 👌😍

Nice food nice service great people

Today I tried the dalwada and trust me these guys nailed it!!!!!! They are the best in the WHOLE TOWN. ❤️They were crispy and their samosas cant be compared to any other’s because They have the best taste and the best thing is they serve it hot and fresh..... I LOVED IT and definitely will come back . Thank you for the Indian street taste.

Place has taken a hit, even before COVID. The staff is so illiterate and illegal it's hilarious. Have to wait long times for food and when you ask they get an attitude. Used to love this place when it first opened.

Busy place. Limited seating. Variety of indian food options. Good a for quick bite. Not recommended for full meal options.

Desi Galaxy is for Indian snacks and food. They have created stalls from different restaurant like for chat and samosa a separate stall, for dosa and south Indian food separate stall for Chinese food separate . They have stall for Pani Puri and for ice cream and shakes . So it is a good place if u want to eat different variety of Indian food . They have thali option also . They have both veg and non veg option. Only thing I didn't like that sitting place is quite small sometimes you have to wait for people to vacate the space. They have parking available.

We were visiting from Chicago on family trip..almost ordated everything Panini sandwitch, Indian Pizza, Raj Kachori, Rotla with Ringan Bhartu, Dabeli, Veg Frankie..Awesome awesome food with best hospitality service. Very friendly envoirement. At last had falooda, ice cream totally Indian taste..Dhruv made excellent Falooda. Pan was added flavour on top. I recommend everyone who visit NJ to go this place once..

Love this place. There are different stands within this cafe including a smoothie/coffee stand. The food entries are always fresh and yummy. They have sweets store inside so that you can try thay0 out as well.

It’s a no frills food court in the heart of Little India. The food is always good & prices are friendly. It gets quite packed on weekends so expect a wait.

No idea why the ratings is so high. The chilli paneer had so much color. The biryani rice seemed a week old. The chicken in chicken malai tikka was undercooked. The lamb curry was bland. Wasted time and money here.

( sadly there is no option to give a negative rating so I just gave one star) I just went there to get food for my family and was shocked to see there was absolutely NO covid compliance/ or any precautions being taken at this store. The people running the store/workers were not wearing masks or gloves while talking or serving food. The most disgusting part was that the food was left UNCOVERED and exposed to anyone and everyone coming in and out of the store, there were even flies hovering around/on the food. When being asked about the covid regulations the person serving me started arguing, giving a bad attitude, and seemed like she genuinely DIDN'T care. These kind of people are the reason why covid is spreading. #NEVEReathere

We came here with group of friends. Except for the averagely tasting dosa, this restaurant is an overall failure. We tried fried rice, noodles, chicken starters, milkshakes and pani poori, all of them are the worst i had in NJ.

Really bad service and rude staff. Felt like insulted and didn't bought their food, went different place. Go on your own risk
